I thought it would be easy. It wasn’t.

In the spring of 2018, I decided that my 4th year of teaching would be my last year of teaching… at least for now. I was ready for a career change.

I considered everything that I did as a teacher and asked myself “Where’s the next adjacent place that I could apply these skills?” Naturally, I came to the conclusion that it would be somewhere in business Learning & Development.

I thought it would be easy. It wasn’t.

After three months of applications, rejections, and interviews, I finally received my first job offer. I entered as an Instructional Designer in early December 2018, and I haven’t looked back.

Now I’ve made it my mission to help people like you and me break into this field. All for free.

I’m not an expert. I’m not a salesman. I’m here to share as much of my experience and answer as many of your questions as you’d like.
